We’re delighted to share that our Senior Partner, Melati Siregar, was recently invited to speak at the Legal Professional Privilege (LPP) Webinar, alongside Colin Liew (Providence Law Asia), Edward Lu (DaHui Lawyers), and Catherine Kelso (Gilbert + Tobin). This webinar brought together leading practitioners across various jurisdictions to discuss the evolving landscape of Legal Professional Privilege, in each respective jurisdiction, and in cross-border context.
The session aimed to equip In-House Counsel and other professionals in Compliance, Risk, and Audit with a deeper understanding of the applicability and limitations of Legal Professional Privilege in Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, and China, particularly considering increasingly complex corporate and regulatory environments.
During the discussion, Melati shared valuable insights on Indonesia’s legal framework governing Legal Professional Privilege, highlighting key considerations for corporate counsel operating domestically and across multiple jurisdictions. She also emphasized best practices for In-House Legal Counsel in maintaining confidentiality and ensuring privilege protection.
