We are delighted to share our recent publication re: “The Long-Awaited Presidential Regulation on Renewable Energy Development is Finally Issued: A Major Breakthrough?” that was featured in Coal Asia volume 143.

Our head of power and renewables division Kirana D Sastrawijaya and associates Angela Vania Rustandi, Kimp Yustisiana D. Hermawan, Naomi Elvienne, and Yorda Lazuardi discuss the long-awaited Presidential Regulation No. 112 of 2022 on the Acceleration of Renewable Energy Development for Electricity Generation (PR 112/2022).

PR 112/2022 plays significant roles in (i) the early retirement of early retirement of coal-fired power plants; (ii) the electricity purchase prices for renewables energy power plants projects for PLN and (iii) the synergy between Ministry of Energy Mineral Resource, Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and Ministry of Finance in the renewable energy development and energy transition implementation program.

PR 112/2022 shows strong commitment of Indonesian Government to accelerate the development of renewable energy in Indonesia, as well as to achieve the Net Zero Emission by 2060.
