The signing of the Framework Agreement between Microsoft and FORDIGI BUMN
On December 18, 2023, a momentous collaboration between Indonesian State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Group and Microsoft Corporation garnered a resounding endorsement from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises.
This strategic partnership, formalized through the signing of the Framework Agreement between BUMN Digital Forum (FORDIGI BUMN) (represented by its chairman, Mr. Fajrin Rasyid, which is also the Director of Digital Business of Telkom Indonesia), the main-hub organization for coordinating BUMN’s Technology and Information sector, and Microsoft, aims to (i) expedite digital transformation throughout the BUMN ecosystem, (ii) improve cyber security, and (iii) promote the use of AI technology, by capitalizing the capabilities of Office 365 to support 800 BUMNs along with more than 1 million of their employees.
Representing FORDIGI BUMN, UMBRA, with Managing Partner Pramudya A. Oktavinanda at the helm, and supported by our Senior Associate, Dhea Gita Pramesti, played a pivotal role in guiding this groundbreaking initiative, as we led the drafting and negotiation of the Framework Agreement, creating an innovative first of its kind structure that allows all BUMNs that are members to FORDIGI BUMN to enjoy the benefits under the Framework Agreement.
Our Managing Partner was personally invited to attend the signing ceremony of the Framework Agreement at Microsoft’s Seattle headquarter which was also witnessed by Mr. Tedi Bharata, Deputy of Human Capital, Technology and Information of the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises and the supervisor of FORDIGI BUMN, Antony Cook, Corporate Vice President & Deputy General Counsel of Microsoft, Raghu Ramakhrishnan, Chief Technology Officer for Data of Microsoft, and Mr. Dharma Simorangkir, President Director of Microsoft Indonesia.
