Our New Counsel of Dispute Resolution Practice Group

We are honored to announce that our Nikki Krisadtyo has been elevated to Counsel in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Nikki brings with him a wealth of experience in litigation, arbitration, and ADR. He has extensive first-chair and second-chair experience in high-stakes arbitration and litigation cases representing state-owned entities, multinational companies, and conglomerates. His experience encompasses disputes in the banking, capital markets, oil & gas, energy, and construction sectors, as well as disputes between shareholders.

Nikki obtained his bachelor’s degree from Universitas Indonesia and master’s degree from University College London. He is dual-qualified as an advocate in Indonesia and solicitor in England & Wales and a founder a board member of the British Indonesian Lawyers Association. He is recognized as a Rising Star by Thomson Reuters’ Asian Legal Business and as a Future Star by Benchmark Litigation.

Nikki’s expertise in his field is exemplified by his recent appearance as an expert before the Constitutional Court for the constitutional review of the Indonesian Arbitration Law.

Nikki’s testimony gave the Court a comparative perspective by focusing on the definition of international arbitral awards in England and other common law countries. His testimony was cited in the Court’s legal consideration and was noted to have provided the Court with a comprehensive picture of the dynamics surrounding the development of recognition and enforcement of international arbitral awards.

Nikki was examined alongside Prof. Yetty Komalasari Dewi, Professor of Law at Universitas Indonesia, who also appeared as an expert and Jou Samuel Hutajulu, Legal Counsel of PT Pertamina EP, who appeared as a witness.

We convey our deepest appreciation to the Constitutional Court, the applicant, and representatives of the President, the House of Representatives, the Supreme Court, and BANI Arbitration Center, who are also involved in this case.

And many congratulations to Nikki for his new role!
