Mini-Magister Program – Contract Drafting and Negotiation
Our Managing Partner, Pramudya A. Oktavinanda, recently served as one of the lecturers for the Mini-Magister Program class titled “Contract Drafting and Negotiation”. The program was ran by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, for senior leaders of Pertamina Group.
During the engaging class, Pram shared his insights from his two decades of experience in navigating complex legal situations through strategic and pragmatic contract drafting for merger & acquisition, joint venture, joint operation, and project development transactions. The class involved numerous case studies specifically designed to train senior commercial and technical managers in: (i) allocating their risk in various forms of contracts depending on the nature and stakes of the transaction, (ii) determining and defending their position in negotiating their company’s best interest, and (iii) understanding the language typically used in contracts despite having no legal education background.
We are proud to receive stellar feedbacks from the participants with generous comments stating that the class has one of the most easily understood materials for non-lawyers and that the case studies are highly practical, allowing participants to take the important lessons and apply them in their own work.
