Indonesia International Hydrogen Summit 2024 – Plenary Session 7

We are pleased to have our head of Power and Infrastructure Practice Group, Kirana Sastrawijaya, joined a distinguished panel at the Plenary Session 7, Indonesia International Hydrogen Summit 2024 titled “Clean Hydrogen and Ammonia Financing for a Sustainable Economy: Opportunities and Risks.” Featured prominent speakers including Yoshi Hidaka (Director for Energy Transformation Strategy at Japan Bank for International Cooperation), Markus Kasim (Director MUFG), Ryan Leung (First Vice President of Project Finance at Korea Development Bank), and Euan Marshall (Country Manager for Indonesia and Timor-Leste at the International Finance Corporation).

 

During this session, they discussed about evolving financing landscape for clean hydrogen and ammonia projects. They highlighted the opportunities and risks in building a sustainable economy through these technologies. Key topics included innovative financing mechanisms, investment incentives, and risk management strategies essential for attracting capital and scaling up infrastructure. The session showcased lessons learned from other countries for financing of clean hydrogen and ammonia projects to reduce carbon emissions, promote sustainable development, and drive economic growth.

 

The Indonesia International Hydrogen Summit 2024 brought together financial institutions, project developers, policymakers, and sustainability experts shared strategies and best practices for financing clean energy projects, emphasizing the economic, environmental, and social benefits, such as job creation and environmental stewardship. This collaborative effort charted a pathway towards carbon neutrality and a global transition to clean energy.
