Development of Solar Manufacturing Site in Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang
We extend our sincere congratulations on the signing of an agreement by SEG Solar with Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (Grand Batang City), the largest industrial estate operated by a state-owned enterprise in Indonesia related to the plan for the development of a $500 million project for an integrated solar panel manufacturing factory with an annual production capacity of 5 GW for silicon wafers, 5 GW for solar cells, and 5 GW for PV modules. This collaboration marks a significant milestone as this area will span more than 40 hectares, potentially becoming the largest PV industrial park in Southeast Asia. The project strengthens SEG Solar’s position in manufacturing silicon ingots, wafers, cells, and solar panels to support its global module factory, ensuring the provision of clean, traceable green products for the markets in the United States, Europe, and Indonesia.
Led by our Partners Kirana Sastrawijaya and Pramudya A. Oktavinanda, with the invaluable support of our Senior Associates Ajeng Ayuningtyas, Amelia Rohana Sonang, and our Associates Davin Rizky Abdurahman, Rahma Hanum Amalia, we are proud to have advised and assisted SEG Solar on this project. We look forward to supporting and making greater contributions to green infrastructure developments in Indonesia!
