In a pivotal move to enhance the development of solar rooftop projects and to address pros-and-cons in the market on solar rooftop development since issuance of MEMR Regulation No. 26 of 2021 (MEMR Reg 26/2021), the Government of Indonesia is making a notable move through the issuance of MEMR Regulation No. 2 of 2024 on the Solar Rooftops that are Connected to the Grid of the Holder of Electricity Supply Business Licenses for Public Interest (MEMR Reg 2/2024) to replace MEMR Reg 26/2021.
