Workshop OJK – Carbon Trading for Financial Services Industry
Our Managing Partner Pramudya A. Oktavinanda and Associate Angela Vania Rustandi were honoured to be invited as speaker at a workshop on Carbon Trading for Financial Services Industry, hosted by the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/OJK) in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ). The workshop drew attendance from a diverse group of 40 participants representing various sectors, including insurance, reinsurance, banks, OJK, and the stock exchange.
Vania shared invaluable insights into the Indonesian regulatory framework concerning carbon trading while Pramudya delved into the intricacies of Indonesia’s inaugural carbon exchange, IDXCarbon. Their presentations highlighted the opportunities available for financial services companies to actively engage in carbon trading and contribute to the burgeoning carbon exchange landscape.
The workshop was characterized by vibrant interactions, with participants from diverse backgrounds demonstrating keen enthusiasm to contribute towards achieving Indonesia’s National Determined Contributions (NDC) target. We are pleased to take part in this engaging session and we look forward to future discussions on the dynamic subject of carbon trading.
