Focus Group Discussion held by GIZ: Government Regulation No. 33 of 2023 on Energy Conservation
We are delighted to have our Head of Power and Infrastructure Senior Partner, Kirana Sastrawijaya, and Associate Angela Vania Rustandi to share their legal insights on the recently enacted Government Regulation No. 33 of 2023 on Energy Conservation in a sharing session organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on July 28th, last week.
Kirana and Vania highlighted potential development of energy efficiency and energy conservation business after issuance of GR 33/2023, differences between GR 33/2023 and its previous regulation, Government Regulation No. 70 of 2009 and how these differences can affect the rollout of energy efficiency in Indonesia, and further key points to be considered to further boost energy efficiency and energy conservation business to further implement GR 33/2023.
During the session, PT. Mitra Solusi Energi Berkelanjutan (EnerCoSS) also shared their valuable experiences on the energy efficiency implementation in Indonesia.
It was a very engaging and interactive discussion with the participants. Given the massive potential investment in energy efficiency projects in Indonesia, it was exciting to see the interests and eagerness of the various participants in the energy efficiency development and implementation of GR 33/2023.
