The signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for development of the Solar Power Plant in Belinyu, Bangka Belitung (PLTS Belinyu)
Government participation in the supply and utilization of new energy and renewable energy has an essential role in increasing the national energy strength and implementation of energy conservation. In 2017, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia (MEMR) issued MEMR Regulation No. 39 of 2017 (MEMR Reg 39/2017) to replace the previous regulation on the Implementation of Physical Activities for the Utilization of New Energy and New Renewable Energy. MEMR Reg 39/2017 provides express stipulation and the Government’s assignment on the purchase of electricity from assets originated from grants or state property which can be proposed as national program, ministerial program, or by a regional government.
During the Indonesia EBTKE ConEX 2023, the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the development of the Solar Power Plant in Belinyu, Bangka Belitung (PLTS Belinyu) was signed between PT PLN (Persero) and Perusahaan Umum Daerah (PERUMDA) Agro Lestari Mandiri. Congratulations for the parties!
