The signing of the Amendment of PPA between PT Energi Listrik Batam and PLN Batam and the signing of EPC Contract for the conversion of Simple Cycle Power Plant (SCPP) at Tanjung Uncang, Batam into a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP)
Congratulations to the parties for the signing of the Amendment of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between PT Energi Listrik Batam and PLN Batam and the signing of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contract for the conversion of Simple Cycle Power Plant (SCPP) at Tanjung Uncang, Batam into a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP). This conversion will increase the existing capacity of power plant from 70MW to 109 MW.
This project will improve the efficiency through the utilization of exhaust waste heat as fuel for additional steam turbine generator, which significantly reduces the cost of electricity generation of the plant. As the plant will obtain new power capacity without requiring additional gas as fuel, it will also reduce the level of carbon emission.
Led by our Senior Partners, Kirana Sastrawijaya and Liyanto Wijaya, and supported by associates Angela Vania Rustandi and Muhammad Abdul Jabar, we are grateful to be able to assist the parties to close the agreements for the project and further decrease the carbon emission in order to achieve the net zero emission target of the government of Indonesia in 2060.
