Angela Vania Rustandi, our associate of renewable and infrastructure practice group, was invited as a speaker for BLS Internal Study “Increasing Carbon Trading Opportunities in Electricity Sector towards Net Zero” organized by the Business Law Society FH UI of Universitas Indonesia.

She shared her knowledge on the Indonesian regulatory framework on carbon trading and the legal hurdles posed by the current regulations. Having handled numerous carbon projects in UMBRA, Vania also highlighted the opportunities and risks arising from carbon trading implementation in the electricity sector. The session was filled with interactive discussions with the students.

As carbon trading is gaining momentum in Indonesia both in the private and public sector, it is gratifying to see that a lot of college students have also taken interest in carbon trading. We look forward to another interactive discussions on carbon trading with law students.
