Net Zero Engagement in Asia – A Guide to Shareholder Climate Resolutions
In support of energy transition in Indonesia, our Kirana Sastrawijaya and Pramudya A. Oktavinanda contributed to the Net Zero Engagement in Asia – A Guide to Shareholder Climate Resolutions, produced together with ClientEarth and Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC). This guide aims to serve as a guideline for institutional investors on how shareholder resolutions can be used to push climate agenda in companies across Asia according to its respective regulatory frameworks. We provided our insights for Indonesian jurisdiction relating to shareholder climate resolutions under Indonesian regulatory framework and key climate-related resolutions and/or regulatory developments in Indonesia in 2021-2022.
This guide was launched on 24 November in an event and panel discussion that brought together regulators, institutional investors and leading legal and sustainability experts to discuss corporate engagement strategies for the net zero transition in Asia.
With the growing interest in energy transition and climate change from both the Indonesian Government and private sectors, we are delighted to take part in this guide which hopefully could encourage more climate pro-agendas being included and enforced in companies across Indonesia.
Please find the published copy of the guide on the ClientEarth Asia page here (under Net zero engagement in Asia), and on the AIGCC publication page here.
