Enlit Asia Power & Energy Award 2022

It gives us great pleasure to announce our first-ever win at the Enlit Asia Power & Energy Award 2022, where our senior partner Kirana Sastrawijaya was named Female Executive of the Year! Ensuring only the most deserving contenders were nominated, the awards distinguished deserving organisations and individuals planning and implementing projects that significantly improve business practices across Asia, especially those nominees that exceed any and all expectations of any executives in the energy field and who represent the regional benchmark for excellence. Nominees were also named based on whether they embodied the prerequisite of embracing a trailblazing nature and also that they ascertain some of the best solutions and approaches of affecting the energy sector with a focus on projects that uphold the highest value to the stakeholders and industry.

Indeed, under her supervision, along with the dedication of her team, and the support of our esteemed clients, UMBRA’s power and energy practice group has developed to become one of the largest dedicated practice groups in the Indonesian legal industry (if not already the largest one) within the shortest period of time ever.

We are exceptionally proud of Kirana’s numerous achievements throughout the year, and more importantly, being a female leader in the power and energy sector in Indonesia where women are usually underrepresented, this award holds a special value for her and the power and energy practice group in UMBRA. As quoted from her acceptance speech: “To be celebrated as the Female Executive of the Year for her contributions to the region’s capacity in power sector is truly a privilege. It is also definitely a great honour for our power practice group in UMBRA. May it serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for other female executives to keep on thriving and prospering!”

We were also delighted to be selected as finalists for the Energy Advocate of the Year Award. The honour was conferred to our firm in acknowledgment of our contributions to the sustainable growth of the ASEAN power and energy sector. To gain such recognition from an influential organization in the industry truly validates UMBRA’s relentless efforts and determination in taking the extra mile to create an everlasting impact within the power and energy sector.

We were privileged enough to experience the awarding ceremony in person, as two of our renowned lawyers, Dinda Khamasasyiah (Asya) and Naomi Elvienne, represented UMBRA in joining the night of celebration! Thank you, ENLIT Asia – Power and Energy Award, for the fantastic opportunity to attend the live event at Conrad Bangkok, Thailand. It was truly an unforgettable experience!
