Hukumonline’s NeXGen Lawyers 2022 – Amelia Rohana Sonang
Congratulations to our Amelia Rohana Sonang for being featured as one of Hukumonline’s NeXGen Lawyers 2022!
This year’s theme is “#BreaktheBias: Adapt in Changing Environment” which captures the stories of young women legal consultants in responding, surviving, and adapting to changing environments. True to this theme, Amelia has been involved in many high-profile transactions, particularly in the field of renewable energy power, among others, representing PT PLN (Persero) in the development of Cirata 145 MWac floating PV Project and, recently, Bali 2 x 25 MW Solar Power Project, demonstrating her growth, adaptability, and resilience in taking new responsibilities and managing complex deals despite her young age.
“Indeed, people are often trapped in biased thinking that correlates young age with inexperience and immaturity. Nothing could be further from the truth. In the legal industry, what truly determines whether someone could be considered a seasoned practitioner is not merely their years of experience, but their opportunity to be involved in actual transactions and their intensity in getting things done in such a limited time. I do not hesitate to state that with her performance and intensity of experience so far, Amelia is the go-to lawyer in the fields of electricity, renewable energy, and infrastructure at UMBRA”, added Pramudya A. Oktavinanda, our Managing Partner.
We are proud to witness the growth of UMBRA’s young lawyers who have a high passion for serving clients and more importantly, are determined to work hard to develop themselves to become go-to lawyers in their specific industry and expertise. After all, the future of Indonesia’s legal industry lies in specialization. This is the only way to adapt and survive in the ever competitive world of our business. Congratulations once again to Amelia!
