Webinar – Sustainable Finance Dialogue: Lesson Learned of Biogas Power Project Finance and Development

As part of EBTKE ConEX 2021, our Project, Energy, and Finance senior partner, Kirana Sastrawijaya and associate Dinda Khamasasyiah (Asya), recently participated as one of the panelists in a webinar re: Sustainable Finance Dialogue, along with other notable panelists from PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), PT Surya Utama Nuansa and PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero). This particular webinar was held by Kementerian Energi Dan Sumber Daya Mineral, Kementerian PPN/Bappenas, Institute for Essential Services Reform, CASE for Southeast Asia and German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. During this webinar, Kirana and Dinda shared in the session re: Sustainable Finance Dialogue: Lesson Learned of Biogas Power Project Finance and Development.

During this webinar, Kirana and Asya discussed how the biogas power plant project could be bankable for future financing opportunities. That covers the biogas power project finance ideal scheme, the risk of biogas power project and its mitigation, and the key points that borrowers must consider related to the feedstock supply agreement (lesson learned from our case study).

We hope that through this event, we can share our experience in assisting the development and financing of biogas and biomass power projects in Indonesia, and this lesson learned can be replicated for other future projects to expedite the preparation and financing of the projects.

We are so pleased to participate in one of the most significant annual renewable energy events in Indonesia and hope we can continue contributing to the development of renewable projects in Indonesia.
