The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership’s Dispute Resolution

UMBRA Counsel, Junianto James Losari, co-authored an article analysing the dispute resolution mechanism (DSM) under the Investment Chapter of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (the RCEP Investment Chapter). The RCEP was concluded earlier last month (November 2020) by 15 members (while India pulled out of the negotiation). The regional trade agreement is the largest in the world in terms of the cumulative GDP of its members. The article looks at the available DSM for foreign investors who seek to benefit from the RCEP Investment Chapter.
