Webinar – Indonesia Solar Power Outlook

Investment and development programs in the electricity sector are increasingly more important to maintain reliable supply in the future and towards environmentally friendly energy. With the continuing decline in the price of electricity generated from solar energy, and a relatively small generator posture compared to coal, solar energy in Indonesia as a strategic natural resource is gaining more and more spotlight.

To further gauge the interest, Petromindo took the initiative to discuss the topic in a Webinar entitled “Indonesia Solar Power Outlook”. The Webinar was held on 9 October 2020, and the speaker consists of many experts in their respective field: UMBRA – Strategic Legal SolutionsMinistry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM)PT PLN (Persero) along with several companies and business representatives from the energy sector.

Our power and renewable partner, Kirana Sastrawijaya shares her view and analysis with regards to Indonesia’s legal framework in current solar power investment. She also notes several key changes from Omnibus Law that may change the way investment and development work in the sector. The Webinar was very lively and attended by a wide range of participants, including practitioners, business representatives, university students, and lawyers.
