Training on the Law of Energy and Mineral Resources 2020 on Power Purchase Agreement for Geothermal Projects

Recently, Kirana Sastrawijaya (our power and renewable partner) (supported by our Associate Shafira Hexagraha) spoke in the Training on the Law of Energy and Mineral Resources 2020 on Power Purchase Agreement for Geothermal Projects. The training was held by Business Law Society FH UI and attended by law students across Indonesia and public.

In this session, Kirana discussed the basic understanding of Power Purchase Agreements, and particularly, the differences of geothermal Power Purchase Agreements vs other conventional or renewable Power Purchase Agreements. The discussion includes main characteristic, key terms, key milestone, risk allocation, and tariff provisions under Geothermal Power Purchase Agreements. Kirana also led an introductory discussion on geothermal projects financing during exploration stage vs. utilization stages.

We highly appreciate this kind initiative from the young generation for taking part in fostering the geothermal and renewable energy for a cleaner future. It is part of our policy and commitment to keep contributing to the legal education and law students in Indonesia. It was an honor to be a part of this event and we thank Business Law Society FH UI and all participants for having us.
