Media Briefing: Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis “Racing towards 23% renewable energy”

Our power and renewable partner, @Kirana Sastrawijaya, contributed as a respondent for dissemination of the study of the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis titled “Racing towards 23% renewable energy.”

After comparing with other emerging countries, the study reveals that although FIT might be used to kick-start some investments, carefully designed and comprehensive policies that support competition are also important.

Kirana was also quoted in several medias on this, e.g:

Indonesia historically has implemented many different policies and rule changes in an attempt to find best policy for renewable development for the country. The Government is now again preparing several related regulations. With many inputs from relevant stakeholders for this process, hopefully Indonesia could formulate a break-through policy which can boost renewable energy development and at the same time also maintain its sustainability in a long-run.
