On April 22, 2024, our Managing Partner, Pramudya A. Oktavinanda (Pram), had the honor of being invited by PT PLN (Persero) (PLN) as a distinguished speaker to deliver a presentation titled “Key Factors for Successful Transactions in New Business Ventures.” This presentation was part of the launch of PLN’s capacity building program, “Business Development and Investment Decision Making”. The objective of this program is to enhance the competencies of PLN’s leaders and align the company with a new operational paradigm emphasizing responsiveness to market demands.
Speaking alongside the Director of Legal and Human Capital Management of PLN and other esteemed speakers, the event drew over 100 participants from higher and middle management levels of PLN and PLN sub holding companies.
During the presentation, Pram discussed six critical factors essential for companies looking to expand their business operations. He emphasized the importance of engaging independent consultants with diverse specialities to provide objective insights especially to guide transaction structuring for large-scale projects. Additionally, Pram addressed regulatory and financing considerations that often significantly impact transaction outcomes. He also explored the delicate balance between sound business judgment and risk-taking, particularly within the framework of state-owned enterprises. Finally, Pram shared valuable insights regarding key principles for managing large-scale projects to minimize risk and ensure sustainability of the project.
