We are delighted to announce our recent collaboration with Think Policy in orchestrating a thought-provoking discussion forum titled “Ruang Tengah: Menavigasi 2024: Dialog Pendanaan Transisi Energi Berkeadilan” (Navigating 2024: Dialogue on Financing for Just Energy Transition). This forum served as a platform for stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to openly deliberate on their respective challenges in contributing to the realization of energy transition. Representatives from diverse backgrounds attended the forum, including those from state-owned enterprises in the electricity and financing sectors, major energy companies, national and international NGOs, and electricity-related associations.
Given the Chatham House Rules adopted by the forum, the forum managed to foster discussions of a profound nature, offering participants a deeper understanding and fresh perspectives on the opportunities and challenges intrinsic to just energy transition, particularly within the financial realm.
The invaluable insights gleaned from this dialogue will be documented in a policy brief. This document will be disseminated among the participants and may be used as a foundational resource for future discussions, which hopefully could pave the way for accessible and affordable financing mechanisms, fostering a just energy transition.
