We extend our heartfelt congratulations to PT PLN Batam and PT PLN Nusantara Power – PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk Consortium, for successfully signing the conditional Power Purchase Agreement of the 46 MWp Solar Power Plant in Tembesi, Batam, Indonesia.

The milestone marks a strategic initial step for the parties’ contribution to renewable energy development in Indonesia, particularly on Batam Island. The floating solar power project holds potential as a catalyst for attracting foreign investment to Batam Island, offering renewable energy-based electricity supply options, bolstering the local economy, and addressing the island’s limited land area. As outlined in the Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) 2023-2032, it aligns with PLN Batam’s commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2060.
